Liberation announcement and Torchlight

On 4 May at 20:35, the historic liberation announcement will be broadcast from the Open-Air Stage in Tivoli Gardens – at the exact time it was first heard on the BBC 80 years ago. Immediately after, a trumpet signal will sound from the stage, marking the beginning of a solemn and ceremonial torchlight procession through the Gardens, led by the Tivoli Youth Guard’s band and colour guard.
