Award-winning harmonica player Mathias Heise joins the Tivoli Orchestra for Wednesday Jazz at the Orangery

On Wednesdays in Tivoli Gardens from May to August, you can enjoy leading Danish jazz artists performing with the Tivoli Orchestra under the baton of conductor Peter Jensen.
Each concert consists of three sets at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00.

Mathias Heise

Mathias Heise discovered the harmonica by chance at the age of eight and quickly fell in love with the instrument. Today, he holds the title of world champion in chromatic harmonica, an accolade earned at the World Harmonica Festival when he was just 20.

Since then, a steady stream of Danish and international awards has followed, and it’s no wonder. This young harmonica virtuoso effortlessly weaves together elements of jazz, swing, funk, and rock in a truly distinctive and impressive way.
