Tivoli Gardens Through the Ages
Gain a unique insight into Tivoli Gardens’ rich and eventful history as Tivoli’s expert guides take you on an engaging and lively tour of the Gardens. Hear captivating stories about Tivoli’s origins, the history of the Pantomime Theatre, dramatic events during the occupation, and the visionary plan that shaped the Tivoli Gardens we know and love today.
From June 21 to August 17, 2025:
Weekdays at 3:30 pm.
Saturdays and Sundays at 12:00 pm.
The tour lasts 1 hour.

Behind the Scenes of Tivoli Pantomime Theatre
Have you ever dreamed of standing on the iconic stage of the Pantomime Theatre? Or experiencing Tivoli Gardens almost entirely to yourself? Then this guided tour is perfect for you.
In addition to learning about Tivoli’s rich and fascinating history, you’ll also get a unique behind-the-scenes look. Join this special tour before Tivoli opens its gates to the rest of the guests and enjoy an exclusive glimpse of the magic behind the curtains.
From June 22 to August 18, 2025:
Saturdays and Sundays at 10:00 am.
The tour lasts 1 hour.

Tivoli Gardens during the Occupation
In 1940, there was uncertainty about whether Tivoli Gardens would open for the season due to the German occupation and the many restrictions that came with it. Fortunately, the Gardens did open and became a sanctuary for many during those challenging times.
On this tour, you’ll hear fascinating stories about the blackout lamps designed for Tivoli by Poul Henningsen, the reason the lights in the Concert Hall flicker, and how the dragons on the Pantomime Theatre are said to have protected it when members of the Schalburg Corps bombed Tivoli Gardens in 1944.
