Practical information
Tivoli Ballet School
Tivoli Ballet School, established in 2012, is dedicated to providing top-tier ballet instruction by some of Denmark’s finest teachers and instructors. It offers a nurturing and enjoyable environment where children and the young of all levels, from beginners to aspiring professionals, can develop their dance skills.
Education
Safe and enjoyable for all levels
Tivoli Ballet School's versatility is reflected in its diverse programs, catering to both recreational dancers and those pursuing a professional career. Notably, ballet training combined with the HF upper-secondary school program allows young dancers to seamlessly integrate their academic pursuits with their passion for ballet.
Tivoli Ballet Theatre has a tradition of special children’s performances featuring students from Tivoli Ballet School. In 2012, a performance based on the Danish children’s character Rasmus Klump was presented at the Pantomime Theatre, where the friendly bear visited Harlequin, Columbine, and Pierrot. In the 2014 performance “Crazy about Rasmus,” Rasmus Klump was the head judge in a dance competition between fairies, imps, and child-sized versions of Harlequin and Columbine.
During the summer of 2017, over 50 children from Tivoli Ballet School graced the stage in the family performance “The Ugly Duckling,” where Pierrot offered a fresh perspective on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen tale.
Today, Tivoli Ballet School continues to foster a vibrant community of happy students and eagerly anticipates welcoming new dancers into its studios to explore and celebrate the beauty and spirit of ballet.
