Tivoli's Guard, Music School and Orchestra

The Tivoli Youth Guard, a world-renown ensemble steeped in tradition, proudly represents both Tivoli Gardens and Denmark on the world stage.

Their iconic uniform, with its striking black bearskin hat, vibrant red jacket, and crisp white trousers, commands joy and respect wherever they perform. The Tivoli Youth Guard is composed of three distinct corps.

The world's oldest youth guard

The Tivoli Guard, founded in 1844 by Tivoli's founder, Georg Carstensen, became the world's first youth guard and an instant success. Today, it remains one of Tivoli's oldest attractions and is still active.
